Maintenance and upgrades.
- Concurrent and corporate licenses
The yearly maintenance is compulsory. If an organization that have concurrent or corporate license is late with purchasing maintenance, pro-rata fees needs to be paid in order to make the licenses current.
You have purchased 10 concurrent licenses of ET GeoWizards on 15 May 2017 (your free maintenance year expired on 14 May 2018). If you want to use the latest release of the product for which you have license and purchase maintenance on 15 September 20018, the fees will be calculated as 10 x Upgrade price per license x 16 / 12 (four months back maintenance is due). The new maintenance period will be from 15 September 2018 to 14 September 2019.
- Fixed licenses
- After the free upgrade period has expired, an upgrade can be purchased (within one year of the expiration of the free
upgrade period) at about 25% of the current price of the software. This will make the user eligible to another year free
upgrades.
If you have purchased ET GeoTools 11.3 on 19 March 2017 and there is a version 11.4 released on 14 June 2018 (your one year free maintenance has expired) you can use version 11.4 if you purchase an upgrade at about 25% of the price of version 9.1. This will entitle you to another year of free upgrades.
- If more than one year from the expiration of the free upgrade period has expired (more than two years of the original purchase
or the purchase of the last upgrade), the upgrade fee will be double the current upgrade fee. In other words 2 upgrade licenses
per original license must be purchased in order to make the license current.
If you have purchased ET GeoWizards 12.0 on 19 September 2017 and have not purchased any upgrades till 19 September 2019, you will need to purchase 2 upgrade licenses per original license in order to get any version released after 19 September 2019.
- If more than two years from the expiration of the free upgrade period (more than three years of the original purchase or
the purchase of the last upgrade) has expired, the license cannot be upgraded.
A brand new license has to be purchased.
If you have purchased ET GeoWizards 12.0 on 19 September 2017 and have not purchased any upgrades till 19 September 2020, you will need to purchase a brand new license if you want to continue using the software.
- After the free upgrade period has expired, an upgrade can be purchased (within one year of the expiration of the free
upgrade period) at about 25% of the current price of the software. This will make the user eligible to another year free
upgrades.
